Nick Morrissey Army no. 23306577 (now in Australia)
Called up in May 1956, my intake group was 56-09, and posted to 1TR for my training. Trained as a radio tech and finished 16th of June 1956
. Due to finishing 2nd in my class and the first guy wanted to stay on as an instructor I got the pick of the overseas postings and chose Hong Kong
I had a very enjoyable eighteen months at the Hong Kong Signal Regiment. Was demobbed at Chester
I am eternally thankful to my National Service as it led to my subsequent employment of 35 years at IBM as a hardware engineer here in Australia.

Philip Steer Army No.23163309 (link to squad photo #51)
I must have been at 7TR in August 1955, though I don't now recall in which troop,
except that our instructors were Sgt Dixon, Cpl Deary and L/Cpl
Dolphin - names, [though spellings may be different, I think], that
were never to be forgotten !!

I was then straight from school after "A" levels and rather suddenly
found myself to be 23163309 Signalman Steer P. After basic training
I was posted to 10 Wireless Training Squadron at Garats Hey Camp at
Woodhouse Eaves in Leicestershire to train as an Op Spec.
